Md. Niamul
Kabir has more than 17 year’s experiences in legal arena as a Law Practitioner
and In-house Legal Counsel. He is currently practicing before the Supreme Court
of Bangladesh and heading a legal consultancy firm “LEX CASTLE” based in Dhaka
as Lead Consultant. Prior taking charge of the firm, he was the Head of Legal
& Compliance, BRAC, the largest NGO in the world.
In
particular, he has extensive experience
in handling civil and criminal litigations across the country including
district courts, executive courts, labour courts, tribunals and other
quasi-judicial bodies. At the same time, he is
empirically experienced in dealing with diversified legal matters including
drafting and reviewing of legal documents, land documentation and management,
labour law and employee management, legal compliance, regulatory compliance
structuring, certification and registration.
Presently,
Mr. Kabir is rendering legal consultancy services to NGO, INGO, Social
Enterprises, FMCG, RMG, Financial Institution, Educational Institution and many
other establishments on day to day legal and compliance matters particularly
land documentation and management, purchase & sale of property, demand
recovery and settlement, Cheque Dushonour, Artho-Rin, labour law and industrial
relations pertaining to introducing internal policy procedures, service rules,
disciplinary action and separation of employment, compensation and benefit,
final settlement, domestic enquiry, workplace dispute resolution, trade union
but not limited to social compliance audit and litigations.
Remarkable
number of recovery and settlement litigations, labour law related issues and
cases is one of the versatile expertise which demonstrates his uniqueness in
this industry. He is well acquainted with recovery of outstanding, dealing and
negotiating of employer-employee and industrial disputes.
Mr. Kabir
completed law degree from the University of Rajshahi. He earned professional
degree on PGD in Human Resources Management from the Bangladesh Institute of
Management (BIM) and also accomplished Diploma in Social Compliance from the
same institution. He attended various training courses and gathered
professional knowledge from home and abroad. Apart from this, Mr. Kabir imparts
training on Labour Law in different institutions and also conducts classes in
Private Universities as adjunct faculty.
